   Clapton's return or Ocean Boulevard as it is commonly known is still probably his best solo album. I found it rather tame when I first heard it but then I was used to his fiery Cream days. Going back now I can appreciate just how good an album this was and is/5().

   I had forgotten how solid this Eric Clapton album is. I originally had it on vinyl a long time ago. I had remembered really liking it so I bought the CD. In my mind this is really by and large a Blues album. Every song is completely solid and satisfying. As far as the Eric Clapton early releases go Ocean Blvd is the purest vis his Blues roots/5().

   Ocean Boulevard is Eric Clapton 's second studio solo album, arriving after his side project of Derek and the Dominos and a long struggle with heroin addiction. Although there are some new reggae influences, the album doesn't sound all that different from the rock, pop, blues, country, and R&B amalgam of Eric Clapton.
